Waiting

I don’t want to wait

To figure out what life has in store.

My patience already wears thin

And the promise that life will suddenly change

Seems unreal.

We make small changes

Throughout our days, throughout our weeks.

We choose to talk to certain people,

Choose to smile, even if it’s a reaction.

Choose to hug those, and allow some people to come into our life.

But I don’t want to wait

For that special a-ha moment

I’d rather make it my own,

Rather make it my own choice.
